Zeman to skip WW2 end parade in Moscow

President Milos Zeman will not attend the parade on the occassion of the 75th anniversary of the end of World War Two in Moscow, scheduled for June 24, due to the measures adopted against the coronavirus pandemic, Zeman's spokesman Jiri Ovcacek told journalists today. Zeman is very sorry for his inability to attend the ceremony, Ovcacek said. He has entrusted Czech Ambassador to Russia Vitezslav Pivonka to replace him as his "personal representative" at the parade.
