Zeman signs bills dealing with child benefit, distraints into law

Czech President Milos Zeman signed the amended Distraint Code, which brings biggest changes to the distraints system in the past two decades, and the amended welfare bill, which raises the child beneift and makes more families eligible to it, into laws today, his office has announced. The child benefit will increase by 26 percent, and families with their income up to the 3.4 times of the subsistence level will be eligible for it, instead of the current 2.7 times.
