Zeman not against Czechs fighting in Ukraine - spokesman

President Milos Zeman has basically a positive position on granting exceptions for the Czechs ready to fight in Ukraine and he will discuss the idea with Prime Minister Petr Fiala on Thursday, Zeman's spokesman Jiri Ovcacek told journalists today. Zeman also wants to ask for a position of the defence and foreign ministries on the issue, Ovcacek said. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has asked people to join Ukraine's defence. Czechs can only do so legally if the president grants them an exception for this purpose.
