Zeman decorates 29 people, ceremony to be held on January 1

President Milos Zeman decorated 29 people, five of whom received the Order of White Lion, on Thursday, but since he is in hospital, he will only give them the medals on January 1. The supreme state decoration was awarded to actress Jirina Bohdalova, astronaut Vladimir Remke, in memoriam to businessman Petr Kellner, Czechoslovak war-time pilot Alexander Hess and British politician Alfred Duff Cooper, who resigned in protest against the 1938 Munich Agreement.
