Young Czech man faces up to 12 years in prison for terror threats

July 29th, 2020

A 22-year-old Czech man is facing charges of terrorist threats, extortion of the police and scaremongering from three years ago, facing up to 12 years in prison, according to the indictment seen by CTK. The State Attorney states that Marcel Houf, together with his acquaintances, made dozens of calls to the police and hospitals, threatening to plant explosives in trains, public squares and shops between May 14 and June 6, 2017.
