The World Press Photo exhibition opened on Thursday at the Hungarian National Museum. This year, 151 press photos are on display, selected by an international jury from 74,470 photographs by 4,315 photojournalists from 130 countries, with an increased focus on the coronavirus pandemic, Tamas Revesz, the exhibition's organiser, said. Laszlo L. Simon, head of the Hungarian National Museum, noted that the museum was hosting the exhibition for the fourth time, adding that negotiations with the WPP were under way to continue the cooperation for another five years. The National Museum will "continue to be a basis and home to contemporary photography", he added.
