A woman died in the Hradec Kralove Teaching hospital (FN) on Sunday night after being engulfed by an avalanche that fell in the Krkonose (Giant Mountains) and airlifted in a critical condition to the hospital, FN spokesman Jakub Sochor told CTK. The accident occurred in the area at the Muzske kameny (Man Rocks) near Spindleruv Mlyn. Mountain rescuers reported six people in the area when the avalanche fell. Nobody else was injured. "She was brought to the FN Hradec Kralove in a critical state and despite all our efforts, we did not manage to save her life. She died overnight," Sochor said.
