Vystrcil re-elected Senate chairman

Milos Vystrcil will remain the chairman of the Czech Senate as expected, receiving 73 out of the 77 senators' votes in a secret ballot on Wednesday, while three votes were invalid, Senate election commission head Jan Tecl has announced. Vystrcil was the only candidate for the post of the upper house head, on which the senator groups had agreed before the election. Vystrcil said afterwards that he appreciated the trust and asked the senators to remain "kind but merciless" towards him.
