Vrutky mayor on school spree

Mayor Branislav Zacharides reported on a deadly spree at a school in Vrutky (Zilina region) on Thursday, and said that the attacker had been identified as a former pupil. The mayor reported that the attacker, armed with a knife, knocked through the main door of the school and probably broke in the first classroom he saw. "The school staff attempted to prevent him from injuring anyone. Unfortunately, he did cause injuries and the deputy head teacher, succumbed to his injuries," said the mayor. The police later in the street shot and killed the attacker. Five people were reported as injured, including two children.
