Von der Leyen vows to help Czechs prepare EU presidency

The President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, promised help in the preparations for the Czech EU presidency, Czech Prime Minister Petr Fiala said after their meeting at the summit of European and African countries today. Fiala said regarding the situation on the Russian-Ukrainian border, he and von der Leyen had agreed that Europe had to curb its dependence on Russian gas.
