Volvo bus plant in Poland to send electric buses to Sweden

The Volvo Bus plant in Wroclaw, southwestern Poland, will build 49 Volvo 7900 electric buses for the city of Jonkoping, in Sweden, the company said in a press release on Wednesday. The Swedish company Vy Buss AB, which ordered electric buses from Volvo, will receive the vehicles next summer. The Volvo 7900 Electric Articulated bus can carry up to 120 passengers. The Volvo Bus plant in Wroclaw is the biggest Volvo bus plant in Europe and manufactures public transport, intercity and tourist vehicles. Buses from the Wroclaw plant are currently in use in, among other countries, Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Britain, Hungary, Germany, Switzerland and Poland.
