Agriculture Minister Samuel Vlcan said on Thursday before the cabinet meeting that he is set to introduce a bill that will boost the protection of Slovak land against foreign buyers. "I'm glad that the Hungarians have reconsidered their plan to set up a fund for purchasing agricultural land in neighbouring countries. Despite their decision, we'll continue to prepare a bill that will better protect Slovak land, which is our national wealth," Vlcan said. "In the near future, I'll present draft legal solutions to the government that will be for the benefit of Slovakia and that will be in line with EU law," he said, remarking that what is necessary in this regard is that the Slovak Land Fund (SPF) should be restored as soon as possible.
