Victims of soaring energy prices may receive special benefit in Czech Republic

The people who will move from the energy supplier of last resort to the regular supplier before the end of the year will be eligible for an urgent need benefit to cover the new costs of energy, Czech Labour and Social Affairs Minister Jana Malacova (Social Democrats, CSSD) told CTK today. For this case, the conditions of welfare payment eligibility will be mitigated, she said.
