The Venice Commission, a legal advisory body to the Council of Europe, will come to Poland for a two-day visit on Thursday to talk to officials from the Justice Ministry, top courts, both houses of parliament and the judiciary governance body. The Venice Commission delegation will include experts from Bulgaria, Germany, Ireland and Sweden, PAP has learnt. Polish Senate Speaker Tomasz Grodzki has asked the Venice Commission for an opinion on Poland's latest judicial reform that affects the operation of the Supreme Court and introduces disciplinary measures directed at judges.
