The November 1989 Velvet Revolution, which toppled the Communist regime in Czechoslovakia, is the second most positively-viewed event in Czech history following the First Czechoslovak Republic era, according to poll results released by the Public Opinion Research Centre (CVVM) today. According to the poll data, the older the respondents, the lower their approval of the events of 1989. A positive stance is more common among educated citizens, citizens with a higher income and those who see the current economic situation positively.
