Nearly 3,000 billion forints (EUR 8.6bn) is being allocated for health insurance and epidemic-related measures in the 2021 budget bill, Finance Minister Mihaly Varga said on Tuesday. A total of 2,295 billion forints will be available to support families raising children, representing a 2.5-fold increase on the amount in 2010, he said. Support for families with children in Hungary is the highest in the European Union as a proportion of GDP, he added.
