UVZ: Delta coronavirus variant identified in 99.9 pc of samples tested in Sept

Public Health Office (UVZ) spokeswoman Dasa Rackova said on Monday that the Delta variant of novel coronavirus remained the dominant strain of the virus in the country in September, as it was identified in 99.9 percent of all analysed samples collected during the month. According to Rackova, the number of analysed samples stood at 1,953, with the Delta variant present in 1,951. The remaining two samples contained the Alpha variant.
