Up to 1,000 soldiers may help tackle windstorm aftermath - Czech cabinet

Up to 1,000 soldiers with the necessary equipment can be sent to help tackle the aftermath in the tornado- and windstorm-devastated municipalities in South Moravia and north Bohemia, the cabinet decided at a meeting on Thursday, Defence Minister Lubomir Metnar has tweeted. The cabinet's decision is valid until the end of August.
