Union leader Stredula to run for Czech president

The leader of the Bohemian-Moravian Confederation of Trade Unions (CMKOS), Josef Stredula, today announced that he will seek public support in order to run for president and that the collection of signatures for his bid has already started. Last week, the CMKOS re-elected him as its leader for the third time in a row for another four-year term. President Milos Zeman asked the trade union officials to persuade Stredula for the candidature.
