Ukraine must receive EU candidate country status says Morawiecki

Ukraine should be granted the status of an EU candidate country as soon as possible, Mateusz Morawiecki, the Polish prime minister, has said. "When Russia is bringing death, countries of the free world must help Ukraine," Morawiecki said after the High-Level International Donors' Conference for Ukraine, which was held at the National Stadium in the Polish capital on Thursday with the aim of drumming up financial support for the country. Morawiecki said that making Ukraine a candidate for EU membership would increase the fighting spirit and morale of the country.
