Two Polish provinces - Lubelskie, in eastern Poland, and Podkarpackie, in the south-east of the country, repealed anti-LGBT resolutions on Monday. Declarations opposing LGBT "ideology", adopted by over 100 Polish municipalities, have generated widespread criticism in Poland and abroad, and could result in the loss of EU funding. On Monday, the Lubelskie province assembly voted by 17 to four with 10 abstentions to change its position of April 2019, "in the matter of introducing 'LGBT' ideology to the local government community." The new title of the document is "in the matter of defending fundamental rights and freedoms."
