Two Labour Ministry officials accused of scheming

The police have proposed that scheming charges be brought against two Czech Labour and Social Affairs Ministry officials over a public tender for the payment of welfare benefits, Jaroslav Ibehej, the spokesman for the National Organised Crime Centre, told CTK today. Ibehej said due to their criminal activities, the state might have lost at least 555 million crowns. It was reported before that Deputy Minister Jan Balac and Karel Macek were the accused persons.
