Tsikhanouskaya wants tribunal to deal with Lukashenko regime reps

June 9th, 2021

Belarusian opposition leader Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya called for the establishment of an international tribunal to prosecute representatives of Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko's regime in her speech in the Czech Senate on Wednesday. Lukashenko's regime has terrorist grounds and Belarusians are facing terror they have not experienced since the period of oppression under Soviet leader Joseph Stalin, she said. "I am calling for initiating an international tribunal that will lead the investigation into the crimes of the dictatorship of Lukashenko in the past and during the 2020 elections," Tsikhanouskaya said.
