Some 650 trade unionists gathered in front of the Government Office on Wednesday to demand that the minimum wage be raised to at least 580 euros. "The unemployment rate is falling, the employment rate is on the rise and the Slovak economy is managing it. I'd like to address the Government so that it doesn't succumb to the arguments of capital but instead takes the side of employees," said Marian Magdosko, head of the Slovak Trade Union Confederation.
