Total of 35 cases of delta variant confirmed in Slovakia to date

A total of 35 cases of the delta variant of novel coronavirus have been confirmed in Slovakia since June, spokesperson for the Public Health Office (UVZ) Dasa Rackova told TASR on Monday, pointing out that this mainly concerns people who have returned from abroad and their close contacts. However, the delta variant has also been identified in persons who hadn't been abroad. The alpha variant of novel coronavirus continues to dominate in Slovakia.
