Torok Sole Candidate for Ombudsman for Now, deadline on September 30

Marian Torok is the only candidate for the post of ombudsman for now, parliamentary human rights committee head Peter Pollak told TASR on Friday, adding that two more weeks are left to submit proposals, as the deadline is September 30. Proposals for candidates for the ombudsman post must be signed at least by 15 MPs. Torok, who was the head of the ombudsman's office in the past, was nominated by the Freedom and Solidarity party.
