Tornado of 150 km/hour hit Breclav locality on Monday - experts

A tornado reaching probably 150 km/hour hit the Breclav locality, south Moravia, on Monday evening, meteorologist Petr Munster, from the Brno branch of the Czech Hydrometeorological Institute, told CTK today. The disaster damaged some 30 houses in Lanzhot, but the damage level was not calculated yet, its Mayor Ladislav Straka said. Firefighters assisted in over 40 cases in the Breclav area and in almost 60 in the entire region due to the adverse weather last night.
