A third of Czech smokers want to stop smoking in 2020, with two-thirds indicating they would not stop smoking in the near future, according to a survey carried out by the SC and C agency. Roughly 25 percent of Czechs aged 15 and older are smokers and the social costs of smoking in the country are estimated at 100 billion crowns annually. The main reasons cited for Czech's decision to stop smoking are the price of cigarettes, followed by health risks.
