Taiwan decorates late Senate chairman Kubera

Taiwanese President Tsai Ing-wen decorated former Czech Senate chairman Jaroslav Kubera with the Order of Propitious Clouds in memoriam on Thursday. At the ceremony, Kubera's successor Milos Vystrcil received the medal on his behalf. Kubera planned the visit to Taiwan, but in January, he suddenly died. Vystrcil then decided to materialise it. Due to this, he is facing the wrath of China, which considers Taiwan its rebel province. The Order of Propitious Clouds has been bestowed on personalities from civilian life since 1941.
