Peter Szijjarto, the minister of foreign affairs and trade, on Wednesday visited the logistics centre of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) in Debrecen, in eastern Hungary. He said Hungary's decision not to allow deliveries of lethal aid to Ukraine had guaranteed the organisation's safe operations in the war-torn country. The logistics centre was set up in Debrecen because the border crossing between the two countries is safe, he said. "We are providing everything needed to facilitate aid for people facing difficulties in Ukraine and those fleeing the war," he said.
