Cooperation between Hungary and Poland is thriving in transport projects as well as generally in politics, Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto said in a Facebook post on Tuesday. Plans for a high-speed railway line between Budapest and Warsaw were "presented in Brussels last year and have garnered the interest of the European Commission", he said. The two governments are working to obtain EU funding for the next phase of the project, he said. Work on the environmental protection aspect of the railway line in Hungary has already received 2 billion forints (EUR 5.6m) in EU funding, he added.
