Szijjarto discusses bilateral cooperation with Lithuanian counterpart

Hungary and Lithuania both assign strategic importance to cooperation between their two countries, Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto said after talks with Gabrielius Landsbergis, his Lithuanian counterpart, on Thursday. Nothing exemplifies the level of solidarity between the two countries more than the fact that Hungary has now twice played a leading role in the protection of Lithuania's air space, Szijjarto told MTI after his videoconference with Landsbergis. The minister said Hungary will again be in charge of patrolling the Baltic country's air space between September and December next year, as well as in 2025.
