Suspended sentence meted out for support of terrorism

The regional court in Ostrava meted out a three-year prison sentence suspended for two years to Milan Lalik, 33, for supporting and promoting terrorism today. The man, who is from Slovakia, approved of the terrorist attack in New Zealand in an online discussion in 2019. In 2019, an Australian right-wing extremist killed 51 people in two mosques in Christchurch, New Zealand, and transmitted his attacks live online via Facebook.
