There was no increase in mental troubles requiring medical treatment among the Czech population during the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020, according to a survey presented today by experts, who, nevertheless, admit that an increase may still come since it takes mental illnesses rather long to develop. The number of patients visiting out-patient psychiatrists' offices was the same in 2020 as in the preceding years, according to the survey conducted by the Psychiatric Clinic of Prague's General Teaching Hospital (VFN) and the Health Information and Statistics Institute (UZIS).
