Supreme Court sentences ex-special prosecutor Kovacik to eight years in prison

The Supreme Court on Tuesday handed down an unconditional prison sentence of eight years to former special prosecutor Dusan Kovacik. The ex-prosecutor is to serve the penalty in a minimum-security prison. Kovacik will also have to pay a fine of 100,000 euros. The court had found Kovacik guilty of helping the Takacovci crime gang.
