Poland's Supreme Court on Tuesday rejected an appeal by the ruling Law and Justice (PiS) party in connection with the Oct. 13 general election. PiS had asked for a vote recount regarding the constituency of Tychy and Myslowice, in southern Poland, after failing to secure a majority in the Senate. PiS disputed the qualification of some votes as being invalid in respect of 6 seats altogether. Today's court decision means there will be no vote recount in the case of the Tychy-Myslenice constituency.
