Support for Poland's EU membership at record high level

May 6th, 2019

Support for Poland's EU membership remained at 91 percent in April 2019, unchanged from March. This is the highest result on record, according to the latest poll conducted by the Centre for Public Opinion Research (CBOS). Five percent of those polled were against Poland's membership in the EU, while 4 percent said they did not know whether it was better for Poland to be an EU member or to be outside the bloc. Fifty-six percent of the respondents said they were interested in the forthcoming European Parliament elections and 42 percent expressed the opposite opinion. Sixty percent declared they would go to the polls. The EP elections will be held in Poland on May 26. The survey was conducted on a representative sample of 1,064 adults on April 4-11.
