Sunday sees 182 new COVID cases, 147 COVID patients in hospital

Czechia saw 182 new COVID cases on Sunday, 46 more than a week ago, and 147 COVID patients were in hospital, which was fewer than on workdays last week but 19 more than on previous Sunday, with the number of those in serious condition standing at some 30 recently, the Health Ministry's data show. The reproduction number R, which shows the average number of those infected by one person with COVID-19, has slightly increased to 1.14 today from Sunday's 1.11. It has kept above 1, which means the epidemic acceleration, since late August.
