Nearly 41 percent of respondents to an IBRiS poll believe that Poland's dispute with the European Union should be ended as soon as possible and on the EU's terms. The poll, commissioned by the Rzeczpospolita newspaper, quizzed people on their views on the deterioration in Polish-EU relations, and how they would react to EU threats to suspend funding to Poland. Meanwhile 32.5 percent said that a compromise should be found and Poland should make only minor concessions. But 23 percent believe the government should defend its position even at the expense of having funds frozen.
