U.S. Steel Kosice should achieve carbon neutrality by 2050

The U.S. Steel Kosice steelworks should achieve carbon neutrality by 2050, according to a commitment declared by its parent company United States Steel Corporation. "U.S. Steel is part of the corporation, and we share this commitment. There's a need to add that as a company operating in Slovakia, we, naturally, share commitments undertaken by Slovakia. By 2030, Slovakia must reduce CO2 production by 55 percent when compared to 1990, and we're all in the same boat in this," U.S. Steel Kosice spokesman Jan Baca told TASR on Thursday.
