Stats Office: EU-harmonised inflation eose to 3.3 percent Y-o-Y in August

Year-on-year inflation measured by the EU's Harmonised Index of Consumer Prices (HICP) amounted to 3.3 percent in August 2021, up from the 2.9 percent seen in July, the Statistics Office reported on Friday. The average harmonised inflation rate for the 12-month period ending in August 2021 amounted to 1.8 percent, increasing by 0.1 percentage point when compared to July.
