Stats Office: Employment in industry down 0.9 percent Y-o-Y in August

Employment rose year-on-year in most sectors in August 2019, most rapidly in accommodation - by 16.9 percent, the Slovak Statistics Office reported on Friday. Annual increases were also recorded in the following sectors in August: in selected market services - by 6.3 percent; in information and communications activities - 5.6 percent; in transport and warehousing - 5.2 percent; in construction - 4.7 percent, and in restaurants and pubs - 4.6 percent.
