Stats office: Ageing of Slovak population continues

The population of Slovakia was 5,450,421 on December 31, 2018, growing by 7,301 year-on-year, data published by the Slovak Statistics Office on Thursday shows. Population increase was 500 lower than in 2017, and the number of elderly exceeded the number of children in 2018 for the first time.
