October 29th, 2019
The three-month moving average of the Economic Sentiment Indicator (ESI) went up by 0.4 points month-on-month in October 2019 to 98.3 points, mainly due to increases in confidence in construction and partly in services, while it was down in industry and trade, and remained relatively stable among consumers, the Statistics Office reported on Tuesday. The current ESI lags behind the long-term average by 5.3 points and exceeds the figure by 0.3 points in year-on-year terms.
