Statistics Office: Inflation in Slovakia at 2.8 pc in August

Year-on-year inflation stood at 2.8 percent in August 2019, with core inflation amounting to 2.4 percent and net inflation to 1.6 percent, the Statistics Office reported on Friday. In August 2019, month-on-month cumulative inflation was influenced by core inflation by 0.12 percentage point (p.p.) and by regulated prices by 0.09 p.p. Indirect taxes had no effect on cumulative inflation. Food prices had no impact on core inflation, although net inflation influenced core inflation by 0.12 p.p.
