State of emergency to be declared in Czechia as of Monday

State of emergency will be declared in Czechia as of next Monday 00:00, if the cabinet approves it on Wednesday, Health Minister Roman Prymula said today, adding that the step is needed for the cabinet to take blanket measures aimed to lower the COVID reproduction number which is 1.2 now. The state of emergency will enable to take some new extraordinary measures and impose work duty for the healthcare staff, he said.
