State Electoral Commission hopes to announce election results by July 1

June 11th, 2020

Head of the State Electoral Commission (PKW) Sylwester Marciniak has told PAP that he hopes the results of the presidential election will be announced, at the latest, by July 1. This would allow time for preparation of a second round of voting, if necessary. The presidential election will be held on June 28, and a possible second round on July 12. Voting will take place at polling stations, as well as by post. Marciniak told PAP that the date, when the results of the first round of the presidential election will be announced, will depend on several factors, including voter turnout, as well as the number of people who will decide to vote by post.
