State decorations to be awarded later than scheduled

October 21st, 2021

The ceremony at which state decorations are awarded will be postponed from the national holiday on October 28 to a later date, Czech Presidential Office head Vratislav Mynar told journalists today. The head of the Presidential Office protocol department, Vladimir Krulis, told CTK on Wednesday that it was up to President Milos Zeman to decide on the ceremony. If it were to be possible to hold it, the decision would have to be made in a few days' time. Zeman has been hospitalised since October 10, and Prague's Central Military Hospital, where he is staying, on Monday said he is incapable of carrying out his work duties.
