Slovak authorities have ramped up the fight against white-collar crime last year, doing "more than they did in the past three decades," Special Prosecutor Daniel Lipsic told TASR on Tuesday. "Until recently, [only] 'mafia-style' organised groups committing violent crime were prosecuted. Economic and corruption crimes committed by white-collar criminals, especially at the highest levels, werent prosecuted until now for various reasons," he said, adding that more indictments can be expected from the Special Prosecutors Office.
