Smer spokesman Jan Mazgut to run for post of Bratislava region governor

Head of Smer-SD's press department Jan Mazgut announced on Friday that he is set to run for the post of Bratislava region governor in the upcoming regional elections as a candidate of Smer and the Slovak National Party (SNS). Meanwhile, Smer-SD head Robert Fico told the press conference that he doesn't understand why the extra-parliamentary Voice-SD party led by Peter Pellegrini has decided to support incumbent Bratislava governor Peter Droba, who is set to run for re-election as a candidate of Freedom and Solidarity. He called on Pellegrini to reconsider this decision.
